Marketing & Communications Manager

Time: Hourly rate or part time, ranging from 25% up to 100%

Location: United States, Remote

CareCom is built on a strong Danish heritage with close ties to the Nordic and American markets. For over 20 years our focus is providing international healthcare organizations with terminology solutions, (the ability to share and understand the same clinical data languages) that enable greater healthcare services and enables interoperability.
Our platform, HealthTerm, helps governments, hospitals, and healthcare systems to speak the same ‘IT language’ by normalization of clinical codes, administrative codes and meta data. Another important part is the mapping of local codes to standards and supplying content for EHR systems. The need for enterprise terminology management is also growing and HealthTerm offers terminology for your entire enterprise – not only your EHR system or data warehouse. The amount of global healthcare data is increasing dramatically, leaving healthcare organizations with the challenge of managing extremely large data assets. Having a strong terminology foundation is crucial for these organizations in order to transform the asset into usable high-quality data.

Job Description:

The US market is growing rapidly and CareCom is seeing the highest growth rates of them all in US. We are looking for a Marketing Manager for the US team, preferably based somewhere mid US or on the East coast. You will be a part of a fast-growing international team, who has a focus on quality and delivering value to our clients. You will work closely with the US team and the Sales team in Europe. 

Specific Responsibilities:

Drive marketing and communication activities to achieve the following goals:

  • Increased brand and area awareness
  • Increase client pull/demand for solution
  • Increased partner and reseller awareness
  • Increased presence on client events

Marketing and Communication activities such as:

  • Web site updates
  • Responsible for updating strategic marketing and communication plan
  • Execute on Marketing Strategy
  • Execute on event planning and coordination
  • Support current sales representatives with marketing material
  • Driving Marketing Activities
  • Support on market positioning and gather competitive intelligence together with sales teams
  • Create awareness of the CareCom and CareIndexing portfolio
  • Support management team on PR and Communication strategy and activities
  • Driving Brand Reimaging
  • Including ppt and documentation templates, Standard color palette, fonts, icons, marketing slicks
  • Support creating of Blog posts – EU, MENA, US
  • Driving SoMe strategy and calendar events
  • Driving SoMe post maintenance

Willingness to travel up to 25% of time and conference calls and meetings outside normal working hours is expected.


  • Post graduate – entry level experience in IT software marketing
  • Advantage if you have experience in Health Information system
  • Technical understanding 
  • Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills 
  • Team spirit and willingness to work in an international team environment 
  • Ability to coordinate with other departments
  • Willingness and the ability to travel when required 
  • Embody “we-before-me” mindset
  • Proficiency in office package
